Eviction Moratorium Extended Until August

On Monday, May 17th, Governor J.B. Pritzker announced that the Eviction Moratorium would carry on through this summer. The goal is to phase it out over the next few months to reach an end in August. In addition, $1.5 billion in aid is being made available to help 120,000 affected tenants cover unpaid rents to their landlords. Chicago tenants affected by Covid-19 can apply for the grant that will cover unpaid rents to their landlords here.
