The 22nd Chicago Polar Plunge, an annual fundraiser for the Special Olympics, made its in-person return to North Avenue beach this past weekend. For those of you who are not familiar with the Chicago Polar Plunge, individuals or teams jump into Lake Michigan during the winter to raise money to fund transportation costs, sports equipment, uniforms and meals for more than 7,500 Special Olympians.
This year, TAS Gives Back + The Apartment Source endured these freezing temperatures to help raise over $1,300 for the Special Olympics. As part of our amazing team, our Managing Broker, Tyson Schutz, and our Leasing Director, Dan McDonough (under the dinosaur costume), raced through Lake Michigan to raise money for this great cause. However, we cannot overlook the other enthusiastic members of our support staff who helped with this event!
Thank you to all of our donors who helped make this event a success! Through your support, we helped support thousands of athletes across Chicago and raised over $1,700,000, with a goal of $2,000,000. The good new is that there is still time to donate until the end of the month. If you would like to contribute to such a great cause, please donate here.
