Even though the nation is not able to meet the demand for housing, Chicago is releasing more new construction than ever before in this 3 year period,<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blockclubchicago.org\/2023\/01\/23\/rents-downtown-and-in-the-west-loop-expected-to-stabilize-after-rollercoaster-years\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> according to Block Club Chicago<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The competition is fierce, which is why rent increases have been limited to a 3-5% range early on this year.
