With apartment supply skyrocketing in Chicago, the rental market has become increasingly competitive for landlords. With many options to choose from, renters have become more discerning of listing details. Nearly 30% of our leases from January through April rented remotely. These “sight unseen” renters, along with an increasing number of normal market renters end up choosing listings that have\u00a0an abundance of information<\/b>. Along with great photography and videos, a big selling point of the larger developments has been that the listings include accurate\u00a0floorplans. A good floor plan answers a lot of renter’s questions right off the bat: Will the living room fit my sectional? Will\u00a0my bedroom fit my bed? Does the bathroom have a tub or shower? This also provides renters who are moving from out of town with more confidence and a more comprehensive picture of the units they are interested in.
