Eviction Moratorium Extended:<\/b><\/p>\n

Landlords please be advised: As of Friday March 5th, Governor\u00a0Pritzker has extended the eviction moratorium to April 3rd. The below has also been added to the eviction procedures:<\/p>\n

If a tenant delivers an Illinois Tenant Declaration to the landlord after the filing of an eviction action, the landlord may only proceed if the tenant poses a direct health and safety thread to other tenants, or if they are an immediate and severe risk to the property. This clarification allows emergency evictions to proceed even if a tenant is a “covered person” under the executive order.
